The first project camp for training coaches in the new gymnastics discipline TeamGym was held in Bolu, a city in the norther part of Turkey, from 19-23 August 2023. year. This city is a traditional Olympic venue for athletes, with a large complex of sports halls and fields for all sports. The camp was held in the Olympic trampoline center and Gymnastics center. The delegation that represented the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education at the Bolu camp was: Prof Emilija Petković, PhD, researchers Ana Lilić and Stefan Mijalković and gymnastics trainers Ana Stanković and Milena Kitanović. The camp lasted four days and at the same time we had a Workshop with children and parents who wanted to try this discipline. At the camp, partner delegations decided for the TeamGym Program, which is going to be presented to coaches at national seminars.
This project was supported by the Turkish Gymnastics Federation and it's President, Mr Suat Celen, who personally came to greet us on the first day on camp. Mr Celen is also the Vice-President of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
